Justicialist Party leaders presented a new group to "contain those disillusioned with politics across the country."

Through a vigorous campaign in Buenos Aires , Peronist leaders launched a new group within the Justicialist Party : Primero la Patria (First the Homeland) . The group recognizes Cristina Kirchner 's leadership as the leader of the Justicialist Party (PJ) at the national level and seeks to establish a common ground between peripheral groups and those displaced by Peronism.
In a letter addressed to the president of the national Justicialist Party, "Primero la Patria" (Homeland First) requested recognition of the former national leader. The new group bears the same name as the list headed by Cristina Kirchner in the party's 2024 internal elections. The group is made up of national deputies and senators, regional and social leaders, and union members disenchanted with politics.

The space is made up of the deputies Guillermo Snopek (Jujuy), Carlos Castagneto (Buenos Aires Province), Blanca Osuna (Entre Ríos), Juan Manul Pedrini (Chaco), José Glinski (Chubut), Gisela Maziotta (Buenos Aires City), Gabriela Estevez (Córdoba), Hilda “Beba” Aguirre (La Rioja); Walberto Allende, Fabiola Aubone and Jorge Chica (San Juan); the former national education minister, Nicolás Trotta; national senator Sergio Uñac ; former provincial legislators Verónica Mercado (Catamarca), Federico Alessandri (Córdoba), Matías Barroetaveña (CABA), Noemí Geminiani (CABA) Sebastián Benitez Molas (Chaco) and Juan Lapadula (Tierra del Fuergo); and the former deputy of Salta, Pablo Kosiner, among others.
The leaders presented the space through a vigorous campaign in Buenos Aires City. Using signs with phrases like "No one saves themselves alone ," " It's not freedom, it's surrender ," and " The future has history ," Peronist leaders intervened in the city and demanded space for the new organization. " In the context of the current crisis and upheaval, we believe that Peronism's immediate challenge is to build an effective federal unity capable of confronting neoliberal policies and presenting society with a clear program that guarantees responses to social exclusion, precariousness, and the distribution of wealth ," they wrote.
After a poor first provincial legislative election for Peronism, Primero la Patria is seeking to expand the party's leadership base and include leaders from the interior to combat the crisis of representation the historic party is experiencing in the provinces. " Our commitment is to rethink the present and future, generating new calls to win back comrades who have been disappointed or distanced from traditional politics ," the movement emphasized.
